Western Massachusetts Innovators Now Have Access to Interoperability Platform and Live Data
SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS and CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, April 3, 2017 — Techspring, a healthcare technology innovation center created by Baystate Health, along with InterSystems and J2 Interactive, announced the launch of a new development environment using the InterSystems HealthShare interoperability platform in a press release today. The environment provides access to real patient data, de-identified for privacy, to TechSpring partners to “test, prove, and accelerate the innovation of data management, application connectivity, data sources, and devices while creating meaningful insights from the data.” J2 provided the technical services to install, configure and maintain the environment at no cost to TechSpring as a way of fueling innovation in the region.
“We are delighted to help build and maintain TechSpring’s development center,” said Lou LaRocca, co-founder and CEO of J2 Interactive. “The HealthShare platform is ideally suited to demonstrate the impact of big data and analytics on the quality and cost of patient care. Along with our partners at Baystate Health, we’re excited to invite healthcare innovators from across the region to take full advantage of this resource for the ultimate benefit of their customers and communities.”
