VetsEZ is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in VA’s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) and State of California’s Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) program that is a leading provider of information technology services to government and commercial markets.
VetsEZ brought J2 in to develop a management portal to improve the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). The goal of the PDMP project is to allow VA providers and delegates across VA facilities to query prescription drug medication histories in state systems across the country. J2 used HealthShare to bring a patient’s controlled substance dispensation and prescription information directly into the VistA clinical workflow at the point of care.
The deployment of PDMP marks a major milestone for the VA in enhancing the existing manual PDMP process, fulfilling the MISSION Act Section 134, which allows the VA to participate in the national network of State-based prescription drug monitoring programs.
