Merged RHIO Will Improve Clinical Outcomes and Efficiency Among Its Participants in New York City and Long Island
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, December 3, 2013 — Healthix and BHIX announced that they have merged, effective December 1. Among the key objectives for the newly merged Healthix will be expanding health information exchange (HIE) among its participants while shaping a robust relationship with the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) for development of the State Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY).
Over the years, J2 has played an instrumental role as a strategic implementation partner to both organizations. In 2007, J2 helped Healthix (then LIPIX) become the first HIE to go live with the InterSystems HealthShare platform. Two years later, J2 implemented HealthShare for BHIX, beginning a long partnership that has continued in collaboration with NYeC since 2012.
