Coordinate My Care Recognised by NHS Innovation Accelerator Programme

NHS Clinical Service Among Short List of NHS Innovators

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, November 14, 2016 — The National Health Service today announced the list of finalists in their Innovation Accelerator programme. Coordinate My Care (CMC), the NHS Clinical Service hosted by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, was among eight organizations awarded the distinction. The Innovation Accelerator aims “to create the conditions and cultural change necessary for proven innovations to be adopted faster and more systematically through the NHS for demonstrable patient and population benefit.”

CMC helps terminal patients record their end-of-life wishes within electronic personalised urgent care plans, and ensures that those care plans are available to all those who care for them. CMC’s care plan tool is built on the InterSystems HealthShare interoperability platform. J2’s team played a critical role in the project delivery effort, which included HealthShare environment setup and configuration, implementation of all integration points and application functionality, and migration of legacy provider, patient, and care plan data into the new system.
