Are you ready for it?

The InterSystems Global Summit is less than a month away, and we couldn’t be more excited. The keynote speaker lineup has been announced—who are you most excited to see present?

Personally, I’m looking forward to Dr. Medell Briggs-Malonson’s presentation on shaping an ethical and just future in healthcare with AI. And looking at the line-up, AI will definitely be a core theme for this year’s Global Summit. Since the last Global Summit, InterSystems has unveiled some show-stopping AI features in their HealthShare and TrakCare product lines, making it easier for providers to use the full extent of data in a medical record. One of the healthcare AI use cases I love is AI patient chats. AI-driven patient communications have been shown to exhibit more empathy in patient chats than their human counterparts. Understandable given the pressures doctors and nurses are under every day, and excellent in terms of patient experience.

Generative AI is still fairly new, and with all the possibilities, there is plenty of skepticism and a desire to move with caution, even for yours truly. I love hearing both sides: the endless possibilities, and the measured concerns about safeguarding data, human-ness, and the nuances of lived reality that cannot be coded.

The conversation at this year’s Global Summit is not one to be missed!

Make sure you find J2 in the Partner Pavillion and at Demos & Drinks! We’re celebrating 20 YEARS of partnership with InterSystems by handing out little tokens of our felicitations. Don’t miss it!
