Hello everyone,
Fall is in the air!
To celebrate, I wanted to share a recipe for one of my favorite treats to make this time of year more enjoyable. I love this season because I’ve been working all year on practicing gratitude. Thanksgiving is all about gratitude, right?
We love “warm fuzzies” at J2. We also love science. And now, there is scientific evidence that intentionally practicing gratitude makes us healthier.
Doing the conference circuit this year reinforced how lucky we are to work in a mission-driven industry with like-minded, intelligent folks who have dedicated their careers to improving patients’ lives.
Earlier this fall, at the California Digital Exchange Framework conference hosted by our friends at Manifest MedEx, all attendees pledged to be “Chief Dot Connectors” when bringing data, services, and care to underserved patient populations. And that’s something we can all be thankful for.
Feeling grateful,
Jen Carter 🦃

Conferences... and More Conferences!
Where in the world is J2? From San Fransisco to Seattle to Dubai, we’ve been to quite a few conferences this past month.
J2 attended Manifest MedEx’s Annual DxF Summit, where healthcare IT leadership from the State of California convened to discuss bringing data, services, and care to underserved patient populations.
Across the globe, we were also at the 6th GCC eHealth Workforce Development Conference in Dubai, where stakeholders in the sustainable digital health ecosystem convened for discussions, demonstrations, workshops, and keynotes focused on digital health hot topics, such as HIE, public health, AI, data governance, and workforce development.
Jen also put on her public service hat and spoke at the Washington State Hospital Association annual conference as an elected Public Hospital Commissioner!

The J2 Settings Framework
The J2 Settings Framework is a single pane of glass for managing complex InterSystems deployments.
Large-scale implementations of InterSystems technology often involve dozens of environments, each with its own set of complex configuration settings spread across a wide array of administrative screens and menus. It’s easy for these settings to get out of sync among various instances.
The J2 Settings Framework addresses this problem by bringing all of your HealthShare and IRIS settings together in a unified, configuration-as-code representation. Our customers have used it during and after major project implementations to both seamlessly execute a large-scale migration and monitor a stable environment to ensure nothing breaks.

EVkids Gala
On November 4th, EVkids had their Expanding Horizons Gala, which J2 was honored to sponsor.
Founded in 1980, EVkids helps low-income, academically vulnerable children and teens succeed in school and life through its two programs, EVkids Tutoring and EVkids Summer Camp. These programs focus on strengthening academic competence, organizational habits, self-confidence, and other life skills.
The Expanding Horizons Gala celebrated the achievements of Boston youth and their university mentors at the Charles Hotel. Latoyia Edwards, an Emmy award-winning anchor for NBC Boston, a Dorchester native, and a proud graduate of EVkids, hosted the event.
We strongly encourage you to check out the EVkids website for more information on how the EVkids team is doubling their efforts to help each child reach their fullest potential and build an inclusive community based on mutual respect and understanding.
