The air has gotten crisp, and the leaves are crunching underfoot - welcome to autumn!

As I prep spooky costumes with my boys, ages 10 and 14, my attention has turned to fall activities like after-school wrestling, Dungeons and Dragons Club, and the launch of our J2 Interactions Newsletter!

We want to share the trends we’re seeing in the industry and highlight the newsworthy bits that you may have missed - Was there a promotion? Did someone run a marathon? Read on!

What Year was J2 Founded?

Today, J2 has over 300 staff across the US, UK, and Middle East. But we weren’t always so big! We were founded in the basement of the old Massachusetts governor’s mansion in Charlestown, MA, not far from our current office in the Navy Yard.
​​​​In J2’s early days, Lady Marmalade rocked the charts and Gladiator brought home the Oscar for Best Picture. Can you guess the year?

Here’s another hint: J2 was seven years old when this throwback photo was taken back when they called it InterSystems DEVCON!

Manifest MedEx Announces QHIO Application

Manifest MedEx announced that it intends to apply for designation as a statewide Qualified Health Information Organization (QHIO) in the California Health and Human Services (CalHHS) Data Exchange Framework (DxF), a first-ever statewide data-sharing agreement that will accelerate and expand the exchange of health information among healthcare entities, government agencies, and social service programs beginning in 2024.​​​

West Midlands providers have begun using InterSystems HealthShare to integrate region-wide cancer registry data. ​​​​​​The initiative allows clinicians to easily view cancer patient healthcare data and gain access to other specialist expertise, enabling them to make faster, more accurate decisions to ensure they are providing optimal and timely cancer care.

Completing the Spartan Super 10K

Congratulations to J2 team member Ryan Spires (Velatura, Memorial Care). After extensive training, he completed his first Spartan Super 10K in June!


Cheese The Day!

J2’s New England team got together in Portland, ME, for some grilled cheese and good times at Cheese The Day, owned by former J2 employee Aaron Millberger. It’s now an annual tradition!
