J2 Interactions Newsletter | October '24

All treats, no tricks!

October is always one of the busiest months of the year in healthcare technology. There are trade shows, end-of-year budgeting, planning for the new year, and, of course, the beginning of the holiday season.

We’ve had a lot of treats this past month, starting with the Innovations in Value-Based Care conference in NYC hosted by Healthix, and a drinks and desserts reception at Civitas in Detroit. Then, there was the announcement of our partnership with InterSystems, Greater Houston HealthConnect, and the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics, as all four parties are working to bring interoperability and a longitudinal data record to underserved populations in Texas. And finally, we’ve celebrated our own Jen Carter, Executive Director of Alliances, being accepted into the C-Sweetener mentorship program, where she will be helping to elevate junior executives in healthcare.

We’re also marking the 1-year anniversary of our J2 Interactions newsletter. We hope you enjoy these monthly news blasts, recaps, and general industry insights.

Do you have a favorite part? We’d love to know!

Have you heard the news?

Greater Houston Healthconnect, InterSystems, and J2 Interactive are teaming up to elevate the quality of healthcare in Texas. The three companies are working to connect 75 TXACC (Texas Association of Charitable Clinics) locations to Greater Houston Healthconnect HIE, creating a longitudinal health record for vulnerable populations seeking care across the state of Texas. The result? Clinicians will have the data they need to provide the best care possible.

Our own Jen Carter joined TXACC’s Executive Director Paula Walker, Greater Houston Healthconnect CEO Junaid Hussain,  and Dr. Siraj Anwar of Harris Health at the TXACC annual conference for the announcement.

J2 headed to the Civitas Conference in Detroit, where we caught up with many friendly faces and hosted Dessert and Drinks in the Sky! (No joke, it was on the 72 floor overlooking the Detroit River.)

We unveiled a new HIE Accelerator that is built on Salesforce and designed to specifically expedite time to value for HIEs in service, operations, and sales. Suni Guempel, our Salesforce Program Manager, led the demonstrations. Do you want to learn more about running your back office on the Salesforce platform? HLTH

Jen Carter and Rachel Warnock then went west for the HLTH conference in Las Vegas. It was two days of networking and conversations around the future of healthcare. We also saw Angie Bass and Emily Mata from Velatura, as well as many of our friends from InterSystems.

And of course, J2 runs on Dunkin’.
